What I’ve Been Up To Lately

Last week I had the chance to lead an AI camp with a nonprofit in West Philadelphia called Eddie’s House. We had kids as young as twelve, plus some of my peers and the staff from the organization, all learning about the latest developments in AI and automation. The reception was great. What I took away for the week is that for the younger folks, simply being exposed to the ideas within AI is what is most important, whereas the adults are engaged most by the way practical ways that AI can drastically improve productivity and enhance their lives and work.

Automations Of The Week

This week I showcase two automations. One is a content automation system that transforms recorded Zoom meetings into various content formats. This system can take a Zoom recording (or any audio/video clip), transcribe it, and store it in an Airtable database. From there, the content can be easily distributed as LinkedIn posts, Facebook updates, Instagram carousels, or even faceless reels. I did a 90 minute tutorial on it that you can check out here: Link to AI Content Automation walkthrough.

We also have an AI meeting note taker that automatically transcribes meetings and generates summaries with key action steps. This tool is designed to help streamline meeting follow-ups and ensure that important tasks don’t fall through the cracks. This is a simpler alternative to tools like Fireflies and Otter: Link to AI meeting note taker tutorial.

I’ve linked the templates for both of these automations on the page of the video at the beginning of the description.

What’s on the Horizon

I’ve been thinking a lot about the rapid advancements in Large Language Models when it comes to coding. Claude AI and Meta’s Llama for example — from the tinkering i’ve done — are making it easier every day to ship out sites and apps like never before, even for those without a deep technical background. Much more on this in the weeks to come…

Talk soon,

Aki
